Article Databases

Article databases are available in the Articles section of the Library Web site and MyDU.  When accessing article databases off-campus, you will be asked to enter your Dominican network ID and password.

From The League of American Theatres and Producers, the IBDB contains comprehensive information on all Broadway shows, past and present.  Find cast members, credits, production statistics and awards.  Search by show, person or theatre.

From the Lucille Lortel Foundation, the IOBDB contains comprehensive information on shows produced Off-Broadway.  Find cast members, credits, production statistics and awards.  Search by show, person or theatre.

Internet Shakespeare Editions : http://ise.uvic.ca

 

This site from the University of Victoria provides “scholarly, fully annotated texts of Shakespeare's plays, multimedia explorations of the context of Shakespeare's life and works, and records of his plays in performance.”  In The Library section, find images of original publications going back to the 17^th century, scholarly articles and reference works, and a detailed biography and timeline of Shakespeare’s life.  The Theater section contains a database of performances, complete with interviews, reviews, posters, scripts, photographs and more.

Didaskalia is a site from King’s College devoted to ancient Greek and Roman drama, dance and music.  It includes a scholarly online journal, information on and images of ancient theaters, and Web links.
