The FCC, an independent government agency, "is charged with regulating interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable." This site contains current headlines, information for consumers, statistics, and reports on things such as digital TV and closed captioning.

Museum of Broadcast Communications

Located in Chicago, the non-profit Museum “collect[s], preserve[s], and present[s] historic and contemporary radio and television content”. Of particular interest are the Encyclopedia of Television and Flashback clips.

Association of America’s Public Television Stations

The APTS “is a nonprofit membership organization established in 1980 to support the continued growth and development of a strong and financially sound noncommercial television service for the American public.” This site includes links to and information about local public TV stations, and information about national issues such as education and funding.

American Film Institute
