This site includes the Nation's Report Card, the "nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America's students know and can do in various subject areas."
Illinois State Board of Education Description: “The Illinois State Board of Education provides leadership, advocacy, and support for the work of school districts, policymakers, and Illinois residents in making Illinois education Second to None.” This site includes current news, legislation, certification, assessment, curriculum, links and more.
American Council on Education Description: The ACE, a group of higher education institutions, "seeks to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives." Click on Government Relations & Public Policy for communications between the Council and the government, as well as other publications and reports and information on legal issues in education. This site also includes links and current news.
