The ACLU advocates for civil liberties as presented in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Their Web site includes information about a variety of civil rights issues, including a section on free speech/censorship. ACLU press releases, legal documents, legislative documents and links to other resources are also available.
 
American Library Association

The ALA Office of Intellectual Freedom attempts to profile and address censorship attempts affecting libraries and library patrons. Their Web site includes an enormous amount of information regarding banned books and Banned Books Week, including lists of banned books, background information, and links to other resources.
 
Beacon for Freedom of Expression

Hosted by the Norwegian Library Association, the Beacon for Freedom of Expression is an international database presently containing more than 50,000 bibliographical entries concerning publications on freedom of expression and censorship issues, and censored books and newspapers through the ages. It represents the most comprehensive collection of historic and contemporary bibliographical information on freedom of expression and censorship thus far produced. The database is freely available to all users.

National Coalition Against Censorship

The National Coalition Against Censorship (NCAC), founded in 1974, is an alliance of 50 national non-profit organizations, including literary, artistic, religious, educational, professional, labor, and civil liberties groups that works to educate about the dangers of censorship. Their Web site includes information about all types of censorship issues and actions, including banned books and also provides links to censorship incidents in the news.
